THE HSE - APPROVED CODE OF PRACTICE

The ACoP of 1989 set the standard for the training of Rider Operated Lift Trucks. This was updated on the 1St October 1999 and now includes reference to the Provision & Use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER). this now extends training to include risks from operating all work equipment and includes Lift Truck not originally included in the ACoP, i.e. Side Loaders, etc.

We provide HSE ACCREDITED TRAINING & TESTING in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) for the training of Rider Operated Lift Trucks conducted as per the standards set by the JOINT INDUSTRIAL COUNCIL (JIC). Successful delegates will be eligible for inclusiion onto the NPORS REGISTER and receive a NPORS - I.D. CARD.

NOVICE
5 Days
The ACoP requires all those who have never driven a Lift Truck to undertake a Five-Day Basic training Course.

EXPERIENCED
UNTRAINED

3 Days
For operators who have experience but have not received any formal training on the operation of Lift Trucks.

REFRESHER
1 Day
For experienced operators who have proof of some types of training and require formal certification to JIC standard and/or to renew their NPORS registration.

SIDE LOADERS
1 - 5 Days
Training courses as above. Duration subject to experience.
